Lighthouse Family are returning to music after announcing their first new studio album in 18 years.

Although finding mainstream success with the release of “Sweet Oblivion”, and the single ‘Nearly Lost You’ from the soundtrack to Cameron Crowes’s film “Singles”, the Screaming Trees’ history goes back to 1985, predating many of their Grunge-era, Seattle peers.

The history of the Screaming Trees goes back to 1985 when brothers Van Conner on bass and Gary Lee Conner on guitar teamed up singer Mark Lanegan in rural logging town Ellensburg, Washington State in 1985. After recording a handful of EPs and LPs for various US indie labels, including SST and Sub Pop, they signed to Sony imprint Epic Records for 1991’s “Uncle Anaesthesia”, co-produced with Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell.

Rattus Norvegicus, the Stranglers' first album (and first of two in 1977), was hardly a punk rock classic, but it outsold every other punk album and remains a pretty good chunk of art-punk. Toxenaris is a studio project from Göttingen created by Timo Aspelmeier who is the main composer and musician, as well as main studio technician and producer. Aspelmeier worked on these compositions since the 1990s but the music is being released under this particular moniker only since 2016.

She came to initial popularity as a member of drummer Chick Webb's band in the 1930s, scoring a hit with a "A-Tisket, A-Tasket," before ascending to wide acclaim in the 1940s with Jazz at the Philharmonic and Dizzy Gillespie's Big Band, and issuing landmark performances like "Flying Home" and "How High the Moon"…

Two people thats all it takes to carry on an interesting and inspiring conversation. Two instruments constitute also the smallest possible ensemble the dialogue between them is inherently intimate and unique. This perception becomes even clearer, when a piece is being played by two string instruments, which although differing in timbre are inextricably intertwined. We had thought about recording a duet record for a long time, as we have been playing together for several years now, in various chamber formations from a duet to a string sextet.
