Dust & Disquiet is a studio LP which was released on September 25th, 2015 via Hobbledehoy in AUS/NZ (Triple Crown US and Big Scary Monsters UK/Europe). Dust & Disquiet is the band’s fourth full-length album and the follow up to 2012’s stellar Waking Season. Recorded at Q Division Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts, Caspian once again tapped Matt Bayles (Isis, Cursive, Screaming Females, The Sword) to produce and mix.

A massive bit of funky fusion from the 70s – an album that was crucially overlooked at the time, but which has gone onto become a crate-diggers classic over the years! The group's fronted by Polish jazz legends Michal Urbaniak and Urszula Dudziak – but it also features a fair bit of American players too – all working together in a blend of the best funky fusion modes going down in both the US and Eastern Europe in the mid 70s! Drums on the set are totally great.

Sergiu Celibidache (1912-1996) has been called a "musical giant", a "magician" "a brilliant lion-tamer" and an enfant terrible of classical music. These films from 1965 and 1982 are among the very few visual records we have of the legendary rehearsal work of this highly charismatic Maestro; they provide a unique insight into his Stuttgart years, bringing to light the marvels he achieved with the Radio Orchestra, which he conducted from 1971-1983. Celibidache was a master Straussian and his reading of the symphonic tale Till Eulenspiegel ranks among the best recordings available. His version of Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade is full of sensuality and subtlety. Both documents last almost an hour - they give today's listeners an exclusive opportunity to observe Celibidache in rehearsal and concert, making it a must for lovers of symphonic music.

Growing out of the festival in Holland of the same name, Boulevard of Broken Dreams is a retro big band reveling in tunes from and around The Great Depression - a time of broken dreams. These folks love this music. Besides the musicianship, how else can you explain these phenomena? Even though the songs are generally sad there is a level of fun energy running through the entire set.

Recorded at the start of Dinah Washington's climb to fame, 1954's Dinah Jams was taped live in front of a studio audience in Los Angeles. While Washington is in top form throughout, effortlessly working her powerful, blues-based voice on both ballads and swingers, the cast of star soloists almost steals the show.

Made in America is the third album by The Blues Brothers. The second live album by the band, it was released in December 1980 as a followup to their hit film released that year, The Blues Brothers. The album did not fare as well, commercially or critically as their previous two albums, 1978's Briefcase Full of Blues and The Blues Brothers: Music from the Soundtrack. Made in America peaked at No. 49 on the Billboard chart and the single, "Who's Making Love", just cracked the Top 40 at No. 39. It was the band's last album with lead singer "Joliet" Jake Blues (John Belushi, who died in 1982).

Purdie was one of the king drummers in the 70s funk music era. Often over-looked but never duplicated. However, it is rare that you find a LIVE (as well as very well engineered and recorded) funk session. The album has some great guitar, sax, and drum solos - with a solid funk underlying groove. Just look at the set-list - including standards from the Meters as well as James. I you love funk'n tight jazz, you love the Meters, the JBs, Parker, etc - this is LIVE and a great recording. I am just surprised no on else has reviewed this. Note, probably because the initial release was an import only.

Gentle Giant's third album (and their first self-produced effort, Tony Visconti having run the sessions on the two previous records) was another advance, this time in the direction of a harder rock sound – everything sounds turned up here, especially the guitars, the bass, and the electronic keyboards…
