Conceived as a musical journey of love, Najee's 2013 album, The Morning After, finds the sweet-toned, smooth jazz saxophonist delivering a set of songs that bring you along on a sensual and romantic road trip. The album follows up Najee's equally as passionate 2012 release, The Smooth Side of Soul. Along with a bevy of superb studio musicians, Najee is backed here by a capable rhythm section featuring keyboardist Demonte Posey, guitarist Ray Fuller, bassist Bill Sharpe, and drummer Daniel "dpondrums" Powell. Also featured is vocalist Meli'sa Morgan, who adds her warm and throaty vocal presence to the intimate R&B-infused track "In the Mood to Take It Slow." Elsewhere on The Morning After, Najee delves into the buoyant, streamlined jazz funk of "Rendezvous," the smooth jazz noir of "Paseo Nuevo," and the sparkling, groove-oriented "Trip to the Moon.".

This definitive version of Earth Rot, overseen by Now-Again’s Eothen Alapatt in conjunction with Axelrod’s Estate, fulfills a request Axelrod made while alive – to see the instrumentals of this album, never before released, issued. They see release here as the second LP in a 2LP set. This is an audiophile reissue, with the vocal version lacquered directly from Axelrod’s original master tapes at Capitol Records by Ron McMaster.

Primal Rock Therapy was the only studio album by Seattle grunge band Blood Circus. Sub Pop originally released it as an EP in 1989, but it was reissued in 1992 with seven extra tracks, including the band's first non-album single and five unreleased tracks from 1989. It was produced by legendary grunge producer and Skin Yard guitarist Jack Endino. Although Blood Circus were one of the original bands on the grunge scene in the late 1980s, and Primal Rock Therapy has since been recognized for its historic status as one of the first grunge albums ever released, at the time of the album's release it was panned by critics and became one of the poorest-selling albums ever released on Sub Pop.

Jamaaladeen Tacuma (born Rudy McDaniel; June 11, 1956) is an American free jazz bassist born in Hempstead, New York. He was a bandleader on the Gramavision label and worked with Ornette Coleman during the 1970s and 1980s, mostly in Coleman's Prime Time band. Tacuma showcased a unique style of avant-garde jazz on Coleman's 1982 album Of Human Feelings, and became widely viewed as one of the most distinctive bassists since Jaco Pastorius. He formed his own group, and recorded albums that incorporated commercially accessible melodies while retaining Prime Time's elaborate harmonies. His 1988 album Jukebox was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1989.

This staging of Nabucco, the first since 1960 at the MET, featuring the Russian soprano Maria Guleghina was given in the centenary year of Verdi’s death. The production by MET regular Elijah Moshinsky and the sheer power of Verdi’s score drives this opera and brings the drama and its characters to life. James Levine leads the MET Orchestra and the cast is rounded out by two familiar Verdi specialists Juan Pons and Samuel Ramey.

This is a profound, moving, beautifully structured performance. Richter plays with passionate intensity and serene sensitivity. He creates an exquisite balance between the pathos and the longing geniality within the sonatas. I doubt I will ever want another recording of these sonatas. Richter's rendition brilliant. It's as though Schubert wrote these with Richter in mind!
