Tom Gibson is an American musician and singer/songwriter originally from Springfield, MO. Though he started on guitar at an early age it wasn't until the age of 26 when the loss of his father to a brain tumor, and the dissolution of a long term relationship changed the direction of his life; pushing him toward songwriting. He has previously released one studio EP, the critically acclaimed, Nine Pound Hammer. The debut album introduced Gibson's raspy voice and somber lyrics to a larger audience. His follow-up LP, The Way She Change promises to expand greatly on his early work. Experimenting with new sounds and seamlessly blending different musical styles under the guise of an acoustic songwriter.

Following up the highly acclaimed sophomore album ‘Fulìsche’, Italian folk metallers KANSEIL have inked a new record deal with ROCKSHOTS RECORDS for the release of their first acoustic EP: ‘Cant Del Corlo’ (Chant of the Spinning Wheel). The record is a concept album inspired by the four seasons, a perennial cycle that escapes human control. The spinning wheel (‘Corlo’) becomes the eternal wheel that makes us mortal. Four epic songs with extra atmospheric intro and outro allow the listener to dive into the mood of the seasons, becoming inevitably part of the endless flow of time. Even if the acoustic mood has always been pervading KANSEIL’s creations, they wanted to dare a step further by releasing a record without any electric instrument.

Late Richter's austere and roughly sculpted sort of pianism makes this 20 century piano music repertoire utterly captivating listening experience. Audience is spell-bound throughout the recital except a few insensitive people daring to sneeze and cough in most scerene moments. There is always something transcendental about his playing in his late years, if not as thrilling as in 60-70s recitals.

The legendary Franco Corelli, world-renowned for his portrayal of Calaf, here stars in a magical RAI television production of what many consider to be Puccini’s crowning achievement. Under the creative direction of Mario Lanfranchi, this Turandot resonates with elements of Kabuki. Corelli, at the peak of his vocal powers, finds his match in the fiery Turandot of Lucille Udovich. Among her many credits, Udovich sang opposite Corelli in the noted 1954 revival of Spontini’s Agnes di Hohenstaufen at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; she also sang the role of of Elettra in the 1956 EMI studio recording of Mozart’s Idomeneo, under the direction of Sir John Pritchard.

William Howard performs the solo piano music of Howard Skempton in a collection that includes Skempton’s 24 Preludes and Fugues, inspired by J.S. Bach’s example but in a contemporary style. Skempton’s piano miniatures are concise, crystalline gems: clear, colourful and bright. There is a neoclassical quality to Skempton’s Preludes and Fugues, which exude a serene, almost otherworldly atmosphere, tempered with a sense of intimacy and refinement. Each Prelude consists of a spare, canonic piece, and each Fugue is woven into an intricate but delicate texture of interlacing lines.

Third Sound, hailed as a “forward-looking, expert ensemble” (The New Yorker), presents its debut album, Heard In Havana, featuring music by ten living American composers. In November 2015, the American Composers Forum (ACF) sent Third Sound and a delegation of ten composers to Havana, Cuba, to present a program of contemporary American music at the Havana Contemporary Music Festival. The program, presented in Havana’s eighteenth-century Basílicia Menor de San Francisco de Asís, offered a unique snapshot of the vitality and diversity of the contemporary American musical landscape. The concert moreover represented an historic occasion: against the sociopolitical backdrop of normalizing relations between the United States and Cuba, Third Sound presented the first concert entirely comprising contemporary American music, and with all composers in attendance, to take place in Cuba since before the Cuban Revolution.

The ensemble KLANGKOLLEKTIV WIEN as newly founded orchestral body in the Austrian cultural landscape has already with their first Schubert recording (Gramola 99180) been met with an enthusiastic reception. The unique approach of the musicians with conductor and sound designer Rémy Ballot to get to the bottom of the works of Viennese classical music and to reveal their inner logic, leads to a new understanding of orchestra. Gramola now publishes a concert recording of the Vorstadt premiere in Viennas Penzing district with Beethovens Symphony No. 3 Eroica as well as the Egmont Overture for the Beethoven year 2020 (250th anniversary of his birth). The musicians gathering within KLANGKOLLEKTIV WIEN feel the need to interpret the works of their professional everyday life out-side of the music business in a different way for themselves and the public.
