James Harman

First played professionally in Panama City, FL at the age of 16. After cutting his first record, he lived in Chicago,New York, Miami and New Orleans. Unhappy in all these cities, he moved to southern California, where his unique sound was welcomed by peers like Rod Piazza and Brother Chaos. With over 40 years of touring and recording, Harman has always remained true to his credo: Strictly the blues. Through the years Harman has received several Handy nominations for 'Blues Song of the Year', 'Blues Single of the Year' and even 'Re-release of the Year' for the CD reissue of his landmark 1987 album, 'Extra Napkins'. James Harman has been inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and won the "Best Blues Album of the Year" award, from Canada's Real Blues Magazine.

Howard & The White Boys

A young band that started jamming together in 1988, Howard & the White Boys has enjoyed substantial success through regular appearances at Legends, as well as being the opening band for Buddy Guy on tour. Enjoy this rare early footage of them performing at Legends. They got their first big break by opening for B.B. King. After their opening set, King took the time to pass on some words of encouragement to the fledgling group - a gesture that made a lasting impression.
