This DVD compiles different short and medium-lenght films of the Duke and his orchestra. Included also assorted musical sequences from other motion pictures.
First the Duke debut in the short "Black and Tan" with a duet with Arthur Whetsol. The short "A bundle of blues" with a lenghty rendition of "Stormy weather" that starred Ivie Anderson. "Symphony in black: A rhapsody of Negro life" with Billie Holiday… And different sequences from other motion pictures.
