IAO: Music In Sacred Light is the 2002 CD by John Zorn. The "spirits" on the album include Bill Laswell, Mike Patton, Cyro Baptista, Jennifer Charles, Greg Cohen, Beth Hatton, Rebecca Moore, Jim Pugliese, and Jamie Saft. The album is dedicated to Kenneth Anger, and in honor of Satan.
The name IAO is Kabbalistically identical to the Beast and his number 666.

In the tradition of Zorn's longform studio compositions Godard, Spillane, Elegy, Kristallnacht and Duras, yet completely unique in form and content, IAO is a hypnotic seven-movement suite of alchemy, mysticism, metaphysics and magic both black and white.

It's best to listen to this album on headphones or alone at night. As background music, it doesn't really work.
