Manickam Yogeswaran - Seven Ragas (2015)

Manickam Yogeswaran sings ragas, accompanied by the gentle loops of guitarist and composer Jens Fischer. A meditative music based on ancient Indian healing music, which is said to generate a deep feeling of happiness and to colour the soul.
Manickam Yogeswaran is a singer who was taught in India and with his expressive voice thrills music enthusiasts worldwide. His classical solo concerts are equally well received as his contributions to tours of western ensembles like The Shout (english vocal big band) and Dissidenten (world beat fusion band). He works with dancers, choreographers and film composers from Europe and India (i.a. for Stanley Kubrick and Spike Lee).
Jens Fischer is a composer, guitarist and music producer. During his musical studies in 1978 he already founded the German-Indian group Tri Atma - one of the first world music projects in Europe. During the 1980s he worked as a guitarist, both live and in the studio, with a variety of bands and artists like Inga Rumpf, Falko, Eberhard Schoener and produced numerous CDs featuring his own instrumental music for the label Erdenklang. Since 1990 Jens has been active as a composer for TV film productions, series and documentaries. In 2005 his solo program METAVISTA developed, which was realized in 2007 in a 360°-planetarium-show in the Mediendom Kiel, Germany.
