National Park Radio gives us here a really good and strong album. Led by Stefan Szabo who is the songwriter as well as lead singer and guitarist this band plays a mix of Americana, mainly bluegrass and folk. And unlike so many bands in this category this isn’t a band that follows the herd as such, and so they don’t just sound like a generic copy of so many others.
This is the band’s début album and it is good to listen to, harking back to the old days when people gathered and danced around the fire or in a barn. Although this band has been around for a few years as you can see they haven’t exactly rushed themselves in bringing out an album, and as you would expect this has led to some care with this, making something that is vibrant, fun and well crafted.
