Robert Thomas is a musician carrying on the legacy of blues and rock artists; however, his primary passion is songwriting. Many of his original compositions draw from a musical background and education in jazz. His philosophy, “The Art of Music - Engaging the Human,” connects the human heart and soul through the universal language of music. Exploring these art forms is Robert Thomas' lifelong passion, as the energy from previous generations of music translates to him as pure joy. Live performance is an essential part of his expression; he finds it fulfilling to see an audience enjoy the music as much as he does.

Robert Thomas has been influenced by an eclectic range of musicians including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Charles Ives, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Johann Sebastian Bach. Robert Thomas has performed live overseas and in the states, including serving as the opening act for such artists as Craig Chaquico and Tower of Power. He was featured at the 2013 Russian River Jazz & Blues Festival that included Los Lobos, Jeffrey Osborne, The Robert Cray Band, Boz Scaggs, and others. Recently, Robert Thomas performed as a headliner for the 2014 Apple Blossom Festival, “Red White, & Blues,” along with Joe Louis Walker, Janiva Magness, and many more.
