After the successful Studio album "Spreadin' ' around ' is to inspect a live-album by 2012 by the Dutch Veldman brothers. "Bringin' It To You live" in its directness is a concentrate of what the fans of the Blues rocker on the brothers like: A boiling mix of Blues, rock and soul, worn by Gerrit Veldman brothers on guitar and Bennie Hammond and blues harp.You must send one time ahead: there are a few bands that have found a sound as distinctive and unique as the Veldman brothers in blues/blues rock. This may be on bennies of driving Hammond organ or to the duels he delivers himself on the blues harp with his brother's guitar. There seems to be nothing about close family ties.And a question still anticipating: why do you actually live albums? In the history of music, I see two answers: there are albums that a particular moment to simple, the magic of a special event. And there are albums that rather should document the musical spectrum in a band at any given time, and use therefore material of various concerts. "Bringin' It To You live" seems to me to belong to the second category. At least, it is not clear to me whether the recordings in the "onder ons" JK made Studios Dalfsen on one or more evenings in March 2012. A concrete sequence of the concert is definitely not immediately understand.Twelve pieces have found their way on the live album. And it comes (for me: unfortunately) only five from the own pen and are quite the typical Groovy Rock-Blues of the Veldmans. Fürch me from this great Lord: "Target", or the funky "heading for the door". And of course the "Boogie" in the official Hooker Groove at the very end of the album. The others come from different sources and show the versatility of the band. Because Hendrix is followed discreetly "Up From The Skies", Hendrix's "Boom Boom" more traditional heruntergerrockt and Ry Cooder's "feelin' bad Blues" lets Gerrit Veldman prove once more his mastery of the slide guitar. And, of course, also the great Howlin' Wolf should not be missed. And as "Killing Floor" is close to nature. Concert-goers of course always again like to hear these classics. But for me, the own numbers of brothers are actual to listeners. But I'm also the plant and not in the Club at the concert.–by Nathan Nörgel
