Music by the orchestra of the German musician, composer, arranger, producer and director Bert Kaempfert (Hamburg, 1923-1980). The album was originally recorded in 1958 with the title 'Portugal. Fado, wine and sunshine' in Europe and 'April in Portugal 'in USA. Kaempfert's music is easily recognizable by its unique sound in which, along with the specific instrumental, uses a chorus that sings not only texts but sustained vocalizations as a section of the orchestra. This album features a repertoire of 12 songs dedicated to the Portuguese music, among which are to highlight the album's title in USA, 'April in Portugal' or 'The Portuguese washerwomen', moving between pleasing rhythms of bolero, fado , blues or fox.Track list:
