The new Czech Ensemble Baroque CD with a selection of music grown in piarist halls in the 18th century. The Czech Ensemble Baroque discovers the works of Antonín Mashat, whose work falls into the Baroque period of the first half of the 18th century, and above all Antonín Brossmann. He also implements galaxy style and classicism in the Baroque style. The new recording confirms the enthusiasm, the esprit, a kind of "cognitive" sign of the Czech Ensemble Baroque, which has been led by its founder, conductor Roman Válek together with his wife Tereza for twenty years.

Antonin Brossmann was born on September 7, 1731 in Fulnek, where he learned to play violin and violoncello. At 20 he came to the Piarists. After a few years, his talents showed not only in music and knowledge, but also as a great speaker. In the years 1752-1753 he studied philosophy in Bílá Voda and at the same time worked as a music teacher. After completing his ceremonial degree in philosophy, he enrolled in the study of theology in Mikulov, graduating in 1756, and returned to Bílá Voda. After four years he was transferred to the Piaristenkollegium in Kremsier, and two years later he returned to Bílá Voda as a professor of philosophy. In 1767 Brossmann was invited by the Olomouc bishop to Kremsier, where he led the church choir and taught in a singing seminar. He returned to Bílá Voda from 1778-1787 as rector of the Piarist College and pastor. Filip Gottthard Schaffgotsch, a Roman Catholic priest and bishop of Wroclaw, founded his own episcopal chapel under the direction of Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf in nearby Johannesberg Castle. Thanks to these two personalities (Dittersdorf and Brossmann) Johannesberg became the cultural center of the whole region.
