Gravity Dream Music is pleased to announce that Cosmograf return in 2022 with a new album 'Heroic Materials. Robin is joined once again by drummer, Kyle Fenton, and there is a special guest appearance from ex-Big Big Train keyboard player Danny Manners, who plays piano on the 13 min title track, set in three parts. The album sees the character wrestling with his memories of the war, and harbouring nostalgia for a past era but he realises that change is essential if we are to avoid climate catastrophe.

"Rattrapante" is a collection of 5 songs about our interaction with time; we measure it, but yet waste it more, it defines our existence and forms our memories. Some seek to beat it by being the first or the fastest and some can appear to outlive time itself through their achievements…
As with previous Cosmograf releases, the album features Robin Armstrong playing most of the instruments with Kyle Fenton on drums, but with a special guest performance from Chrissy Mostyn from The Blackheart Orchestra and additional voiceover from Tommy McNally.

Cosmograf is a progressive rock project lead by Robin Armstrong, a multi-instrumentalist musician from Waterlooville nr Portsmouth UK. The sound is rooted in 70s classic rock with a contemporary and progressive twist. Robin plays guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, sings, and records, producing himself and fellow collaborating musicians, in his home studio, 'The Trees', self built at the bottom of the garden. "The Man Left in Space" (2013) is a concept album exploring the themes of aspiration, achievement, and the failures that our quest sometimes brings. The 9 track progressive rock album draws on many past and contemporary influences in music, and takes a journey into the unknown to feed the imagination, and appetite of the listener of intelligent music. Cosmograf's cinematic 2016 album The Unreasonable Silence contains an alien themed concept based on The Myth of Sysiphus by Albert Camus and explores aspects of paranoia, social withdrawal, conformity, and the search for meaning. Guests include Nick D'Virgilio, Nick Beggs and Dave Meros, plus various voice actors.
