So you get the 12" mixes of big hits like "Shame," "I Don't Know If It's Right," "I'm in Love," and "Love Come Down," the "Dance Mix" of "Your Personal Touch," remixes of "High Horse" and "Shake Down," and so on.

If you are looking to replace your worn out vinyl then this is the best collection for you. All the tracks are original, no re-recordings here. This disc covers all Evelyn Champagne Kings single hits from 1978 to 1986. Three of the tracks are the 12 inch versions - "I Don't Know If It's Right" (08:19) and "Shake Down" (06:23), but the best bit of all is the full lenth version of "Shame" coming in at (06:32).

Dance Queens' disco and postdisco vocal showcases all hit the dance charts, but few people who aren't seriously into dance history will know more than a couple of them. Some of this stuff is very much of its era–it's hard to hear Linda Clifford's 10-minute disco version of "Bridge over Troubled Water" as anything other than over-the-top kitsch, and the extended versions of late-'80s numbers like Cheryl Lynn's "New Dress" carry on their consummately boomy synth-drum patterns too long for casual listening. But compiler David Nathan also turns up some legitimate lost classics, like Chic singer Norma Jean Wright's longing "Saturday" and Vicki Sue Robinson's deliciously polyrhythmic "Hold Tight," a seldom-heard follow-up to "Turn The Beat Around."

After working with producer T. Life on her first three albums (1977's Smooth Talk, 1979's Music Box, and 1980's Call on Me), Evelyn "Champagne" King changed producers for her fourth album, I'm in Love a generally excellent release that found the singer being commercially and creatively revitalized. Half of the songs were produced by Kashif associate Morrie Brown (with Kashif and Lawrence Jones serving as associate producers), while the other half were produced by Willie Lester and Rodney Brown.
