Debut album from Nashville-based Progressive Rock band delivers powerful but approachable Art Rock. Musically sublime from epic to elegant, lyrically poetic. This is that "why don't they make music like this anymore" album. A progressive rock band EVERSHIP have been founded by a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer / engineer Shane ATKINSON. Shane played in Nashville bands and as a backup musician for artists in the late 80's and 90's. As a composer he wrote on Music Row and, always having a studio running somewhere in the Nashville area, was a composer with musical work spanning from commercials and film to orchestral and theater. He made two records with the 90's alternative rock band CURIOUS FOOLS, but after three labels, including false promises from a large internationally-known label that eventually dropped the band, and with the birth of his first child, he decided to leave the music business for the budding software industry.

Evership are driven by visionary Shane Atkinson (keyboards, drum, vocals) and singer extraordinaire Beau West. With the support of bassist Ben Young and guitarists John Rose and James Atkinson, Evership has all of the ingredients to realize Atkinson’s ambition. The inspiration at hand is the book "The Uncrowned King" by early 20th century author Harold Bell Wright. This allegorical story unfolds through West’s voice as he describes the pilgrim’s search at the Temple of Truth, a quest where the journey is just as important as the destination. Opener “The Pilgrimage” sets the stage with sweeping orchestration and grand melodic ideas sung by West with a voice like a breeze. It’s a pretty classic prog template for opening a concept album, truth be told, and fans of Kansas, Styx, ELP and the like will feel right at home…

EVERSHP are a league ahead of much of the new Prog bands we get to hear these days – with influences from the divide that crosses between GENESIS, YES, KANSAS and QUEEN, this band are something SPECIAL! The EVERSHIP sound just oozes quality - The keyboards are melodic and symphonic, yet edgy and dramatic at the same time; the guitars range from powerful to sensitive and the rhythm section – much in the same way as YES – runs the gamut of tight and driving to sensitive and atmospheric. The standard of musicianship is high; the compositions are classy with quality production, ranging through melodic, hook-laden songs with incredible anthemic choruses and gentle ballads, with plenty in the way of bombastic, complex arrangements with extended instrumental arrangements going on in-between.
