Avoir La Vie Devant Soi is the acclaimed second studio album by French-Moroccan R&B artist Wallen, released in 2004 by Atmosphériques. Following up her hit debut "À Force de Vivre," the 19-track album was produced by Sulee B Wax and Don Silver, and mixed in New York. Blending polished uptempo beats and soulful ballads with incisive, socially conscious lyricism, Wallen explores themes of identity, roots, life in urban housing estates, and relationships. NRJ Good Vibes Only 2021 is a massive 3-CD commercial pop compilation released in 2021 by MCA Records in partnership with France's premier hit music station, NRJ. Gathering 60 of the biggest global chart-toppers, club anthems, and French urban pop hits from late 2020 through mid-2021, the collection encapsulates the sound of mainstream radio during the era. The compilation spans viral international hits by Lil Nas X, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Tate McRae, along with essential dance tracks from Topic, Purple Disco Machine, and Meduza. Spring 2016 will be the 50th anniversary of the music for A Man and a Woman, Francis Lai's birth-certificate as a film-music composer. To commemorate the event, Play-Time is proud to present this 7CD boxed set entitled Francis Lai Anthology, a collection whose simple aim is to present the (very) original soundtracks composed by the great Lai, now carefully restored for the occasion. Each album in the set has its own concept: Lelouch-Belmondo for example, with the music from Itinerary of a Spoiled Child and Love is a Funny Thing, or Lelouch-Hallyday, notably for the electrifying score from L'Aventure, c'est l'aventure (Money Money Money), a pop tsunami that was never published after the film's release… until now. The set also includes the CD Double polars (from the films Body of my Enemy and The Crook), the iconic original score of Bilitis, here for the first time in its splendid unabbreviated version, and also a CD devoted to the productive association between Francis Lai and René Clément (with the music from their films And Hope to Die and The Baby sitter). Along the way, the contents reveal previously unreleased music and other rarities: the complete signature-tunes that Lai composed for FR3 Television; pieces written for short films (notably works directed by Claude Pinoteau); and an iconoclastic reading of Les Etoiles du Cinéma, specially recorded by the brilliant pianist and composer Jean-Michel Bernard in tribute to his master.

There hasn’t been a popular dance without an accordion, nor a dance-hall without a waltz, since the end of the Great War. You wonder if the genre was ever “modern” at all, so timeless does it seem… Yet it had to be born at some time, and its parents were a motley crowd indeed! First of all came the people from Auvergne, who began to settle in Paris at the beginning of the 19th century: they brought their “folk” instrument with them, and the “musette” tradition, turning their cafes and restaurants into dance-halls with an accordion band. Later, after 1870, it was the turn of the Italians, who crossed the Alps with an instrument of German origin, which they quickly adopted and began to manufacture themselves: the accordion. Then a third stream from Belgium and the North arrived in Paris to work in the factories, and, later still, the wandering gypsy communities of eastern Europe added their guitars to the sound of the accordion.

Sentiments is the fourth album by French singer Louane. It was released on December 9, 2022, by Island Def Jam. It was certified platinum in April 2024. Several singles from the album were certified gold or diamond. Starting in 2023, Louane embarked on a tour, "Le club des sentiments" (The Feelings Club), to promote the album. The tour was scheduled to run until 2024 and included dates in European countries beyond France and Belgium, such as Germany, Spain, Morocco, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as a show in New York City in the United States. The complete collection of songs from "Sentiments" was released on CD and vinyl in December, under the same name as the tour, "Le club des sentiments."
