    Label: Mardel-X [MX-008] | FLAC (tracks + .cue, log, scans) | 47:35 | 276 MB | 18 tracks
Genre: Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock, Rock Opera, Symphonic Rock

Originally released in 1972 on EMI-Odeón and reissued on CD in 2005 by Mardel-X, Ohperra vida de Beto is a landmark early work of Argentine progressive rock and one of the earliest full-length rock operas recorded in South America. Created by the Buenos Aires quintet Materia Gris—featuring keyboardist Carlos Cutaia (later of Pescado Rabioso and La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros)—the conceptual piece traces the biographical and existential journey of "Beto" across two distinct acts: "Ópera Dulce" and "Ópera Amarga." Blending psychedelic guitars, classical piano textures, melodic vocals, and theatrical symphonic arrangements, the album stands alongside Vox Dei's La Biblia as a pioneering masterpiece of 1970s Latin American progressive rock.

Quadrophenia has been reissued before, including a notably remixed version in 1996, but it has never been expanded. The 2011 "Director’s Cut" makes up for lost time by offering two different expanded editions of the album (presented in its 1996 remix): a double-disc edition rounded out with 11 demos - all performed solo by Pete Townshend, two of which are songs that didn’t make the final cut - and a Super Deluxe Edition that adds an early version of the album comprised entirely of Townshend demos, a DVD containing 5.1 mixes from selected songs from the album, and a host of extras highlighted by a 100-page hardcover book featuring many photos, memorabilia from Townshend’s archive, lyrics, and a new, lengthy essay from Pete. While the double-disc edition is quite a handsome thing in its own right - the two discs may be split at an odd point, between “Drowned” and “Bell Boy,” the latter the last song on side three on the original album…

The audio features the original album re-mastered along with a wealth of previously unheard material in the form of 20 demos from Pete Townshend's archive and also a full live performance of Tommy from 1969 taken from tapes that infamously Townshend asked the band's sound engineer to burn. 18 of the previously unheard and thought to be long lost live tracks are taken from a live show at the Capital Theatre, Ottowa, Canada on October the 15th 1969…

Released on May 16, 1975, The Kinks' Soap Opera is a theatrical concept album conceived by Ray Davies. It follows a pop star ("The Starmaker") who trades lives with an ordinary man ("Norman") to understand regular life, only to find himself trapped in the mundane routine. While more focused than its predecessor Preservation, critics and fans find it campy, overly silly, and musically uneven.

Tommy is the fourth studio album by the English rock band The Who, a double album first released in May 1969. The album was mostly composed by guitarist Pete Townshend as a rock opera that tells the story about a deaf, dumb and blind boy, including his experiences with life and his relationship with his family. Townshend came up with the concept of Tommy after being introduced to the work of Meher Baba, and attempted to translate Baba's teachings into music. Recording on the album began in September 1968, but took six months to complete as material needed to be arranged and re-recorded in the studio. Tommy was acclaimed upon its release by critics, who hailed it as the Who's breakthrough.

Now, approaching 70 and half a century after he penned the archetypal rock lyric Hope I die before I get old, Townshend has created a classical version of one of The Who's landmark albums Quadrophenia for a symphony orchestra, opera singer and choir.

Welcome to the Neighbourhood is the seventh studio album by American rock singer Meat Loaf, released in 1995 as follow-up to the megahit album Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell. It went platinum in the United States and United Kingdom. The album is thought of as a concept album, as all of the songs are ordered in the track listing as to tell a story about a relationship throughout the years. Three singles were released: "I'd Lie for You (And That's the Truth)" (a duet with Patti Russo), "Not a Dry Eye in the House" and "Runnin' for the Red Light (I Gotta Life)". They reached #2, #7 and #21 in the UK charts, with the first two written by Diane Warren, who later also wrote songs for Meat Loaf's albums Couldn't Have Said It Better and Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose. In some markets, radio stations also played "Amnesty Is Granted", though it was not released as an official single. Despite the chart success of the album and its singles, only "Amnesty is Granted" has appeared on an official live album, Casa De Carne (Live 2008) as a bonus CD with Hang Cool Teddy Bear. "I'd Lie for You (And That's the Truth)" was recorded as a sound check with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, but only included as a bonus download track.
