    New generation Afro-Cuban jazz con sabor, big time. Conguero Joaquin Pozo has crafted an elegant and percussively driven project that even his great uncle, the legendary conga player/composer Chano Pozo, would be proud of.
    If you want to know what Mr. Pozo is capable of on the congas, listen to "Momentos" - a ten minute drum blow out. This, followed by "Llego Pozo," will certainly enlighten any doubters out there.
    The band is not the usual Envidia suspects, and special mention should be made of Yonny Alvarez on piano, timbalero Yuleisi Greenidgl (listen to "Aqui Papa"), and Pavel Hernandez on bass. They do remarkable work here – especially on the more funky tracks like "Prado 264," where they seem to take a lot of pleasure in building the structure.
