Mihriban Aviral began her flute education in the Flute Department of the State Conservatory of Ankara in the University of Hacettepe. She also attended the Composition Department in the last five years in addition to her successful flute education. The artist studied harmony, fugue, and composition with Prof. Necil Kazım Akses, Prof. Nevit Kodallı, and Prof. Erçıvan Saydam, all state artists, and graduated from both departments of the State Conservatory of Ankara in the University of Hacettepe with outstanding achievement after being exempted from an academic year because of her success.
She joined the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in the same year after getting the highest grade in a test. She worked as a flute player until 2005.
Her career continued in Mozarteum Music Academy in Salzburg, Austria, Chiggiana Music Academy in Siena, Italy, and the Music Academy of Budapest in Hungaria which included studies in the fields of "Master Class", "Perfection" and "Concert Soloist." Her impressing performance during her career helped her to give concerts attended by distinguished names in classical music in those world-famous academies and there were very encouraging comments about her performance which was widely recognized.
Mihriban Aviral gave concerts in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Serbia, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Japan, North Cyprus, Italy, Poland, and Spain.
The artist played the first flute in various symphonic concerts and successfully performed major solos in the literature of the flute. She gave solo concerts with orchestras and chamber orchestras at home and abroad which received very positive comments from many Turkish and foreign conductors about her interpretation of compositions, perfect technique, and very impressive sound.
Having worked as a flutist for the Presidential Symphony Orchestra which has a distinguished place among symphony orchestras for years after successfully completing her composition studies which complemented her flute education in the State Conservatory of Ankara, Mihriban Aviral took a keen interest in Latin jazz in the past decade. This magical genre of music which fascinates everybody who listens it also impressed the artist and she retired from the orchestra at an early age in order to carry out much more significant works in the field of Latin jazz.
As an artist who is at the apex of her accomplishments and experience in her career, she proudly became "the first Latin jazz solo flutist" in Turkey and continued her works in that field. It is seen that she combined her experience in academic classical music gained over years with Latin jazz to produce a breathtaking genre of music. There are only a few artists performing this kind of music in the world and Mihriban Aviral is the "first and only person" who plays solo flute in Latin jazz which is unprecedented in Turkey.
Her Latin jazz concerts at home and abroad captured great attention. In 2007, she gave a major concert in Los Angeles at the invitation of a prominent American official who had watched one of her concerts.
She gave a Latin jazz concert in a hall in L.A. Convention Center which was attended by a large audience consisting of 20,000 people who enthusiastically gave her a standing ovation for minutes.
