One Of Discord - Eris (2017)

One Of Discord is an alternative metal band from Northern Greece, which is already three years old and finally had the chance to release their first studio attempt, entitled “Eris”. The audience that has been following them, has already seen some album teasers, via lyric and official music videos on youtube, giving them thumbs up already! Eris consists of 11 tracks, where the interest for the american alternative metal scene is quite obvious; Five Finger Death Punch, A Perfect Circle and Sevendust. Meanwhile, the lead vocalist seems to have taken some serious lessons from the late lamented Dave Williams of Drowning Pool.

In “Russian Roulette” and “The Die Is Cast”, some Slipknot elements make their appearance too, while Avenged Sevenfold and Coal Chamber are being honored the best way possible; groovy guitars and “corish” breakdowns are pretty much everywhere. The vocals have been following quite a steady pattern and every lyric fits just right in every song, showing everyone that the entire compositional procedure is more like a ritual to the band than just “we should hang out and write some stuff” one. The songs’ structure is nothing but chaotic. The most powerful “live” songs are definitely “When Push Comes to Shove” and “Faint Memories”, letting us know that their live appearances are a great experience.
