Poste 942 - Long Play (2017)

After a demo and two EP, the French Band POSTE 942 finally released their first album "Long Play". 13 tracks of a rock at once bluesy, metal, tinged with grunge, Southern-Rock, sometimes stoner, always good guy. The group is completely independent of the stereotypes and in this, does not give any limit to the creation. Which makes the songs full of energy, inspiration and fun.

After a brief intro to the singing accent of the France south, "Long Play" immediately enters the thicket with the title "Color Of Red", an effective piece, both melodic and heavy, whose riffs are made more and more fast and heavy. Then comes the very inspired "Whiskey", with southern accents as well but southern rock this time, bluesy at will, with a bagpipe that invites itself at a few opportune moments. Then follow a few songs much faster or totally punk but still catchy. Until "Pigs In Paradise" that quiets the game with a grunge sound and quite slow, which evokes a good NIRVANA, "Lithium" version.
The two parts of "Psycho Love" will confirm that POSTE 942 has as much fishing as it can be posed and full of musical mastery. The hoarse voice of his singer, whether sung or shouted, shows a great power and a stamp that plunges us into an American western universe. The album ends with a "Breathe" that mixes all the influences that make POSTE 942. A very punchy piece, interesting by the breaks and the soloists proposed.

For short, "Long Play" is a quality album stamped rock catchy, proposed by an energetic band. The songs are linked without dead time and make a nice soundtrack for a road trip on a hot road 66, or just for a good night rock.
POSTE 942 is a great team that deserves to be encouraged to show what they are capable of. (HARD FORCE)
