    Label: Rhino / Wea / 50's / Original recording remastered / 18 Tracks

Los Angeles native Ritchie Valens' pioneering blend of rock 'n' roll and Latin music made him America's first Hispanic rock star. This essential single-disc collection features the remastered hits "Come On, Let's Go," "Donna," and "La Bamba," as well as B-sides, demos, live tracks, and narration by Valens' manager, Bob Keane. Booklet includes over 20 rare, personal photos. Ritchie Valens's death in the same 1959 airplane crash that claimed Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper remains one of the greatest tragedies of early rock & roll. Valens was only 17 years old at the time, standing at the very beginning of his musical career, full of promise and unrealized potential.
