The Sour Notes - (2008) The Meat Of The Fruit

The Sour Notes is the moniker of musician Jared Paul Boulanger who lives and performs in Austin, TX with pianist Chris Page, percussionist Travis Hackett and bassist Brandi Dipietro (also of Woozyhelmet). Their sound is often jaded, bittersweet[1] and heavily influenced by Yé-yé music and the films of Ingmar Bergman. Many of their songs feature vocal contributions from Sarah Harrison, Heba Kadry, Liz Molina and more recently, vocalist Micaila San Miguel.
