The Blueflies are a hard rocking blues power trio based in York. Fronted by Miles Gilderdale on Electric Guitar. The band play classic rock from Hendrix to Free along with many blues and rock classics. Miles is more than ably assisted by “Fatha” on drums and his old mate and mucker Gavin Ewing on bass. Uncle Frank Mizen makes appearances on steel pedal guitar from time to time. When Miles is not touring the world with Smooth Jazz Super Group “Acoustic Alchemy” he loves to get out and gig with The ‘Flies. Acoustic Alchemy have sold 6 million CD’s in the USA alone ! Gav and Uncle Frank played in Zoot and The Roots along with Miles some years ago and “Fatha” is pure rock and roll history ! In my humble opinion you will struggle to find a better drummer anywhere ! The Blueflies gig all over Northern and The Midlands, UK. They will be coming to a town near you in 2013 so get out and support one of the UK’s finest live and rockin’ bands !! The City of York based “The Bluefiles” play classic rock with a sprinkling of R&B classics and driving funk.
