The Ableton development team is pleased to announce the availability of Live 11.0. This software update introduces new features, improves some old ones, and throws in some exciting new rack devices for good measure.

Ableton, one of the most popular developers of music production software, has confirmed the release date of the latest version, Ableton Live 11. The first announcement of the new version of Ableton appeared back in November and was met with great excitement from producers. Their satisfaction with the new features of the program was openly expressed by such artists as Chris Lake, Jauz, KSHMR, Kayzo, and Dillon Francis. According to the first of mentioned, vocal comping will be a game-changer. Live 11 will feature a number of new devices and features, such as Hybrid Reverb, Spectral Resonator, Spectral Time, Inspired by Nature, and PitchLoop89. The new software is sure to appeal to live musicians, as the Tempo Following feature will listen and adjust its tempo based on incoming audio in real-time. Follow Actions have also been enriched, which from now on will be linked to the length of the clip and will allow you to create evolving arrangements. Three new instruments will join the Ableton Live 11 library – Upright Piano, Brass Quartet, and String Quartet.

Ableton Live 11 released on February 23, 2021 and comes with loads of features that producers have been looking for.

Last update includes comping, MPE support, new audio effects, an emphasis on parameter randomization, a new sound library that includes samples from industry-leader Spitfire Audio, MPE control, chromatic tones and wild FX and much more. For those with a Push 2, Live 11 brings a firmware update for Push that enables polyphonic pressure.

Since its launch in 2001, Ableton Live has become, for many musicians, the go-to environment for music creation with an eye toward real-time performance on stage. Live's approach to composition and arrangement is certainly unusual if you're coming from a traditionally designed digital audio workstation. If you're like me and prefer the latter, you'll find there's still plenty to be excited about here. And if you take to Ableton Live's intuitive clip-based approach to building music tracks, you may find yourself completely immersed, creating new songs all the time and never needing another audio editing program.

Ableton Live has become the DAW of choice for many top songwriters and producers. Flume, Diplo, Skrillex and Deadmou5 are some of the biggest names in electronic/pop music using the software.

What is Ableton Live?

Live 11 introduces comping, MPE support, and new devices built for experimentation. It also lets you do more on stage with live tempo following and Rack improvements, add the unexpected with chance tools, explore sound in new ways with a new range of Packs and much, much more.
