Autodesk Advance Steel 2023.0.5

Autodesk has released Advance Steel 2023.0.5 is steel construction and manufacturing software that allows structural engineers, draftsmen and manufacturers to develop information-rich BIM models and simplify the production process.

Advance Steel 2023 introduces several new features to improve structural detailing and document production workflows. Firstly, in this release grids can be made visible in a model view even when the grids are not actually enclosed in it. Secondly added, the new “Search Query” option enables you to quickly select objects for inclusion in your camera views using one or more predefined queries from the Project Explorer. In previous releases of Advance Steel, a camera’s XY viewport could be resized using grips. However, these adjustments were symmetric; if you stretched the right side of the viewport, for example, the left side would move an equal distance. Advance Steel 2023 allows the grips to function independently. Also single segment polylines may now be automatically converted to single straight or curved beams. Advance Steel 2023 also includes new and enhanced BOM templates, making it easier to create bills-of-materials from your 3D models and more….


As a result of detailed information from customers, the following were identified and fixed:
- Fixed an issue where Reference Manager stopped working when adding a .dwg file having Advance Steel elements if Advance Steel was installed.
- Updated STEP Tools libraries to fix vulnerabilities found in the version of zlib used by previous STEP Tools libraries.
- Updated EntityFramework library. The previous version was deprecated by Microsoft and is no longer supported.
- Updated SQLite library to fix vulnerabilities found in the version of zlib used by the previous version of SQLite.
- Updated StepTools component to version 20.1 to prevent a malicious third party from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows through crafted files.


- Updated STEP Tools libraries to fix vulnerabilities found in the version of zlib used by previous STEP Tools libraries.
- Updated SQLite library to fix vulnerabilities found in the version of zlib used by the previous version of SQLite.


Autodesk Advance Steel is a steelwork-detailing software package. It features dedicated macros for creating common connections and other structural elements, such as stairs, railings, ladders, bracing and portal frames. In addition, it automatically generates fully-dimensioned fabrication drawings, material lists and NC data for CNC workshop machines
