Autodesk AutoCAD MEP 2018.1

Autodesk Inc., a world leader in 3D design software for entertainment, natural resources, manufacturing, engineering, construction, and civil infrastructure, announced the release of AutoCAD MEP 2018.1, is the discipline-specific version of AutoCAD software for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designers and drafters.

Built on a familiar AutoCAD platform, AutoCAD MEP 2018 has been enhanced with an industry specific toolset to improve building systems design productivity, improve the accuracy of system designs and enable selective clashing checks as an aid to avoid costly onsite rework or redesign.

AutoCAD MEP's rich toolset includes industry specific workspaces and schematic tool palettes including piping system design and HVAC for enhanced workflow and increased detailing productivity.

Smart annotation functionality further aid drawing productivity with the automation of scaled annotative text and engineering display themes allow quick visual referencing of essential data such as friction loss and piping pressure classes.

AutoCAD MEP also aids management aspects such as schedules with automatic population and dynamic updating of schedules, as system designs are improved to accommodate requirement changes. AutoCAD MEP's drawing management tools further aid productivity by automating elements of system design and documentation.

For MEP professionals working in a BIM environment or in collaborative workflows with other construction disciplines, AutoCAD MEP is also available in the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection.

AutoCAD MEP 2018 new features:

- High Resolution (4K) Monitor Support
Most AutoCAD MEP user interfaces are now optimized to work with high resolution monitors. As a result, dialog boxes such as the Style Manager and Display Manager dialog boxes, and palettes such as the Tool palettes and Styles Browser, scale correctly when you increase the text size in Windows display properties.
- Content
Approximately 400 new MVBlocks and block references are added to the metric content in the Design Center. The content includes lighting, furnishing, elevators, escalators, and electrical services.
- Performance Improvements
The value of the HPMAXLINES system variable has been optimized to reduce the time taken to open drawing files. The occasional crashes that occurred when opening and saving files, as well as when mirroring drawings containing Architecture entities are addressed.
- Seamless Updates
Whenever an update is installed on AutoCAD MEP 2018, the ribbon highlights the feature that was updated.
- Product Quality Improvement
Projects addressing product reliability have resulted the following improvements:
. Exporting and converting schedule tables to Excel produces correct results under conditions it would not in previous releases.
. Transparency values are retained when set through the Display Properties dialog.
. Isolate Objects now correctly retain divided spaces when one of the spaces is isolated.
. It is no longer necessary to refresh a project to display new sheets in the Project Navigator.
. The Manage Content Library dialog is no longer suppressed when launched from the Style Browser, soon after migrating from a previous release.
. Issues with PDF drawings that did not import correctly in previous releases have been identified and rectified.
. The EXPORTTOAUTOCAD command no longer results in a system crash when exporting drawing files containing Open Light entities.
. Product Updates are now visible in network deployment when added through the Add Updates option.
. 2D block references will no longer participate in section creation operations.
. You can now split or trim mass elements when using non-default UCS.

- Поддержка мониторов с высоким разрешением (4K)
Пользовательские интерфейсы AutoCAD MEP теперь оптимизированы для работы с мониторами с высоким разрешением. В результате масштаб диалоговых окон (например, Диспетчера стилей или Диспетчера экранных представлений) и палитр (например, палитры инструментов и обозревателя стилей) изменяется правильно при увеличении текста в свойствах экрана Windows.

- Улучшение качества продукции
В рамках проектов по повышению надежности продукта реализованы следующие усовершенствования:
. Экспорт и преобразование спецификаций в Excel дает правильные результаты при таких условиях, при которых в предыдущих версиях это было невозможно.
. Значения прозрачности сохраняются, если они заданы в диалоговом окне графических свойств.
. Функция изоляции объектов теперь правильно сохраняет разделенные пространства, если одно из них изолированно.
. Больше нет необходимости обновлять проект, чтобы в Диспетчере структуры проекта отобразились новые листы.
. Диалоговое окно «Управление библиотекой компонентов» больше не подавляется при запуске из обозревателя стилей после переноса из предыдущей версии.
. Выявлены и решены проблемы предыдущих версий с импортом чертежей в формате PDF.
. Выполнение команды EXPORTTOAUTOCAD больше не приводит к системному сбою при экспорте файлов чертежей, содержащих объекты открытого освещения.
. Обновления продукта теперь отображаются в сетевом развертывании, если они добавлены с помощью команды «Добавить обновления».
. Вхождения 2D блока больше не участвуют в создании сечения.
. Теперь можно разбивать или обрезать формообразующие элементы при использовании нестандартной ПСК.
