Vignette has been around since the first Android phones in 2009. Android has changed a lot in that time; Vignette was carrying around a lot of old code, and adding new features had become more and more difficult.
So we've rewritten Vignette entirely from scratch. The new Vignette is:
* Faster
It's designed to take advantage of multi-core CPUs, so some operations are now 4 times faster on a quad-core device.
* Smaller
The new code only uses a few megabytes of storage and memory.
* Simpler
The user interface has been redesigned to be clearer and less confusing.
* Cleaner
It's built from 9000 fewer lines of code.
* More flexible
Cleaner code should mean it's easier to add new features.

A brand new version is coming soon.
