Windows XP | An aggregator for AvaxHome!

I decided to share a little tool with you which I have written to help me browse this wonderful site more easily (and without overloading my browser with too many tabs). At first glance it appears just like a very simple RSS reader (which can only read feeds on AvaxHome). What makes it special, however, is that it can access all the articles on-site rather than just the most recent ones. All you need to do is: 1. Select a category. 2. Select a day. 3. Hit the download button. ...and will download all (sub-)pages for the given day, extract the articles and put them in the list. No images are downloaded, no JavaScript executed, no third-party content whatsoever. This makes the process very efficient and thus much faster than any ordinary browser. The articles in the list can then be marked up with different colors according to personal interest and the list itself saved to disk for later. Nothing fancy at the moment, sorry. that I have refrained from adding a feature which would allow you to browse an uploader's blog directly, since it would bypass the CROWDA revenue system among other things (Google AdSense, Analytics, etc.). I didn't really want to go out of my way and make the AH admins and everybody angry with me. On the contrary, this post is intended to be a small but heartfelt Thank You! to all the people here at AvaxHome. I wish you all a Happy New Year! and Godspeed for the future! The application itself is completely free to use, copy, reverse engineer, etc. Updated the parser (since there have been a few changes to the site's markup). Also added a new feature that lets you copy highlights between files: Let's say you fetch a list for the current day and highlight a few items and save the list to a file called (note: I always append a suffix () to files holding intermediary i.e. incomplete article lists). The next day you will probably re-fetch the (now completed) list and maybe save it to ; but now the highlights are lost. To fix that problem and apply the highlights you already made, you would click on and select the file . Always check new executables for virii! There are very good online malware scanners out there!
