When Mircalla is revived by Count Karnstein and his wife, the villagers begin to panic as the vampire-related attacks are resumed. Mircalla enrolls into an exclusive girl’s school where she clandestinely lures Giles Barton, a student of the occult, to fall in love with her. Things go well until he witnesses the vampire kill one of her roommates one evening. He too is then killed by Mircalla.
Next Mircalla sets her bloodlusts on Richard Lestrange, an author of horror stories. Eventually, Lestrange discovers the vampire’s secret through Barton’s notes, yet he still overlooks Mircalla’s vampirism and becomes so obsessed with loving her. He even attempts to rescue her from the flames of her burning castle when the villagers set the structure on fire. In return for his deep love, the vampire-woman attacks him, and he is impaled on a burning rafter. Also caught within the flames, Mircalla burns into a rotten corpse.
