Detective Squad Chief Choi is set for a promotion. He has a party with his co-workers to celebrate, but, on the way home, a crime occurs and he accidentally commits murder. Because of his promotion, he decides to cover up the crime. The next morning, TV news reveals a body is hanging from a crane at a construction site. Choi is shocked because the body hanging is the person he killed last night. He takes charge of the murder investigation.
This thriller is actually really interesting. It is rather exciting to see the main character prevent himself from being discovered by the rest of his team. This movie starts out strong and has a good pace throughout, with the final act containing most of the action. This movie does end in a twist, and depending on how you feel, you can either go with it or completely black out. The twist is rather over the top, but it does make sense. The only issue I have is that during the final few minutes, this movie becomes a little bit too melodramatic, with characters crying, and the music becoming very sentimental and over-dramatic. This actually is something that is a trend in South Korean Action Thrillers (Example: Man From Nowhere, I saw the Devil, Taegukgi).
