Fishing is a hard life, and harder with bluefin stocks depleted. In Gloucester, Massachusetts, there's a special breed of fishermen. For generations they've used rod and reel to catch the elusive bluefin tuna. They depend on these fish for their livelihood, and the competition is brutal.

Over the next 10 weeks, the most skilled fishermen will set out in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic in hopes of catching the valuable bluefin tuna. When one bluefin can bring in as much as $20,000—they'll do whatever it takes to hook up.

Season 3 , Episode 00 – “Head To Tail Special”

Season 3 , Episode 01 – “The Wicked Return”
The fishermen of Gloucester, Mass., take to the open seas in the hopes of catching the first fish of the season. Captain Tyler McLaughlin is feeling confident after outfishing the veteran fleet last year, but the arrival of his mentor Captain TJ Ott spells trouble. Ott knows all of McLaughlin’s secrets firsthand because he taught them to McLaughlin. After he’s outfished his former student, Ott plans to best the rest of the fleet, including Captain Dave Carraro of the FV-Tuna.com.

Season 3 , Episode 02 – “Checkmate”
Despite a respectable first week fishing solo, Captain Tyler McLaughlin recognizes that his chances of success are higher with a good crew. McLaughlin brings in two college friends who are great fun to have on board, but are inexperienced when it comes to fishing. Captain Bill Muniz of the Lily is hard at work harpooning, a high-octane chase in which specialty boats rigged with a high tower and a bow pulpit drive close to the bluefin, take aim and nab the tuna of their choice.

A storm threatens the fishing fleet, impairing harpooning operations and forcing one captain to switch boats.

Season 3 , Episode 04 – “Operation T.U.N.A.”
TJ is tracked by a competitor looking to get in on his action. Elsewhere, two captains decide to work together to increase their tuna intake.

Season 3, Episode 05 – “Bite Fight”
Tyler goes to his lucky spot in an attempt to win back his pride and to make some money, but there he finds his former captain TJ already fishing.

Season 3, Episode 06 – “Mission: Fishin!”
Hot Tuna has managed to stay on top of the competition so far. However with the bluefin tuna season heating up, his anxious competition try to contend.

Season 3, Episode 07 – “Bad Latitude”
Desperate to pay his crew, Captain TJ Ott of The Hot Tuna steams 150 miles to find the elusive fish. Last week, Dave Carraro, captain of FV-Tuna.com, knocked The Hot Tuna out of top place on the leaderboard. Captain Bill “Hollywood” Muniz of harpoon boat Lily stalls out on a series of bad harpoon throws, and first mate Ian Fulford thinks he can do better if his boss will give him the chance. After weeks of disappointment, the Miss Sambvca crew is desperate for a fish to turn around their season.

Season 3, Episode 08 – “Battle Royale”
The fleet hits the midway point of the season, with a huge tuna shortage. The FV-Tuna.com continues to hold the lead.

Season 3, Episode 9 – “Brotherly Shove”
Captains are forced to get creative to help bring in more fish. Tensions rise aboard the Miss Sambvca between the Hebert brothers.

Season 3, Episode 10 – “Blue Grit”
With time running out in the tuna season, the captains get more and more stressed.
