Based on the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, narrative follows the travels of Tom Brackett, a has-been American singer songwriter who has just embarked on a tour of Eastern Europe. Tom meets up with Natascha, who has just jilter her hulking Russian mafia-don fiance. The two fall in love and join the circus, with the Russian mob in pursuit.
Tom (Orphée) est un musicien américain. Après plusieurs années passées surles routes, il se retrouve en Allemagne, en panne d'inspiration. Il envisage alors de rentrer aux Etats-Unis, mais avant cela, il est obligé de faire le tour des clubs des pays baltes. Natascha (Eurydice) est russe. Elle est venue en Allemagne pour épouser Karl (Aristée), qui promet de lui offrir tout ce dont elle rêve. Mais natascha n'aime pas Karl. Juste avant le mariage, elle décide de s'enfuir. Durant sa fuite à Kaliningrad, Natascha croise Tom qui est fasciné par son apparence quasi-magique. Quand il se rend compte qu'elle est poursuivie, il décide d'abandonner sa tournée pour la protéger…
