In this class we will be designing and making a simple box as well as painting it with a design of your choice. I teach you the fundamentals of box design and construction, but you can adapt these for your purposes and using your own inspirational design.
The box is square with a sliding lid and the dimensions are based on the size of my jigsaw pieces. The main steps you will go through in this class are as follows:
Learn the design considerations
Define the cutting list
Mark the dimensions on the wood
Cut the wood and grooves
Assemble and glue
Wood fill, prime and paint
There is also a walkthrough of the lessons which explains the tools and materials you will need along the way. I present and demonstrate every step from my workbench so you can see exactly what to do and how to do it so you develop your woodworking skills and achieve your goals.
