The three years since our last album Giulia have been an intense journey, shaped by deep losses and beautiful new beginnings.

In 2023, my uncle, the painter Rainer Hoffmann, passed away. His artwork had featured on several triosence album covers in the past. He was very dear to me and had a profound influence on my life. A true adventurer, he always encouraged me to explore new paths in music — and in life — ever since my childhood.
I wrote the song Dear Rainer in his memory. I believe he would have loved the dissonant high piano intervals, sounding like brushstrokes on canvas, creating contrast and counterpoint within the composition — just like he did in his paintings.
Sadly, his art never received the public recognition it truly deserved.

For our 10th triosence album, marking 25 years of band history, I chose one of my favorite paintings of his for the cover: Badendir vid Ingetorpsjön — a scene from a lake near Kungälv, Sweden, where he once lived.
The album also includes many of his paintings from his time in Africa — each one matching one of the songs.

The past few years also brought great personal change. We left our sanctuary in the woods of Franconia and returned to my hometown, Kassel.
