Oscar-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith has written scores and themes for well over 250 films and TV shows. His work has been thrilling fans for nearly fifty years. Widely acknowledged by his colleagues as a master of his art, Goldsmith has received (in addition to the Oscar for his score to The Omen in 1976) five Emmy Awards, nine Golden Globe nominations, and seventeen additional Academy Award nominations.

Early in his career, Pizzarelli opened for Sinatra on tour. His father, the jazz guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, played on many of Sinatra's seminal recordings. Focusing on songs that were specifically written for 'Ol' Blue Eyes' and also featuring The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Dear Mr. Sinatra is in many ways the most personal of all the Sinatra tributes available.

Jorma Ludwik Kaukonen, Jr. is an American blues, folk, and rock guitarist, best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna, and his own bands. It was his first album on a major label since 1980's Barbeque King. Kaukonen didn't write any new compositions for the album, and instead played mostly country-blues cover songs. The album features performances by Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Byron House and Bela Fleck, and was nominated for a Grammy award in 2003 for "Best Traditional Folk Album".

On the 6 is the debut studio album by American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. Critics greeted Lopez's musical debut with a generally positive response. Young pianist Martin Helmchen again shows his affinity for Schubert in this magnificent reading of the Trout Quintet. There are currently 90 listings of the Trout Quintet for the unusual combination of piano, string trio, and double bass. What distinguishes this one from most of the other eighty-nine is the coolly accomplished, no-nonsense approach of Helmchen and his mates. This is one of the most smoothly articulated accounts I have ever heard of this well-loved work. In the opening movement, marked Allegro vivace, the blend of the strings is ideal, especially in the pianissimo passages, when they are virtually muted. The tone of Tetzlaff’s violin at this moment is indescribably beautiful.

Ruby & Sapphire is the 5th album by Tiffany. She's a fine singer who sometimes recall Etta Jones or Billie Holiday. This is a 2 discs set, where's the first disc have titled "Ruby" and features a Jazz standards (Billy Strayhorn, Cole Porter). The second disc, titled "Sapphire", features Pop standards (Beatles, Carole King, Sting etc.) The album was recorded in Japan (DSD recording), produced by Yasonachi "88" Itoh & features mostly japanese musicians.

This album won Grammy Awards in 1995 for Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance. Recorded live with Tony Bennett's long-standing accompanists Ralph Sharon on piano, Doug Richeson on bass, and Clayton Cameron on drums, the set includes more than 20 songs, many of them standards Bennett has sung for years, such as "Old Devil Moon", "I Wanna Be Around", "I Left My Heart in San Francisco", "All of You", and "Body and Soul". Guest artists k.d. lang and Elvis Costello appear on, respectively, "Moonglow" and "They Can't Take That Away from Me". It's a joyful romp for Frank Sinatra's favorite singer.

Hoff Ensemble consists of some of Norway's finest jazz and session musicians, fronted by trumpeter Mathias Eick, of ECM renown, who plays a leading role in several of the compositions. The ensemble's basic quartet features legendary veteran bassist Arild Andersen and arranger Jan Gunnar Hoff on piano. The music on Quiet Winter Night is created by film composers Geir Bøhren and Bent Åserud and among the vocalists are some of Norway's top names in popular music: Helene Bøksle, Åsne Valland Nordli, Sondre Bratland, Unni Wilhelmsen, Tomine Harket, Bjørn Johan Muri, Cecilia Vennersten and Bjørn Eidsvåg.

Skies of America is the 17th album by jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, released on Columbia Records in 1972. It consists of one long composition by Coleman taking up both sides of the album, played by the London Symphony Orchestra and conducted by David Measham. Coleman himself only plays on a few segments, and there is no other jazz instrumentation.
