My name is Mary Fallon, I'm eighteen years old, and a few months ago, I came to Egypt to visit my best friend Carol. As it turns out, I never left, because I fell in love with a young Archaeologist, and with God, whose immense love I first experienced in a dream when I took a nap in an ancient tomb. My lucid dreams are intensifying, and they seem to be making me more lucid in my waking life as well because I'm rationally questioning concepts I always took for granted, reincarnation for example. Carol is expecting a baby, while I'm expecting and hoping Steve will soon be more than just my boyfriend. The only problem is that Owen, a beautiful yet sinister lucid dreamer, can't seem to take no for an answer.

"Maria Isabel Pita really suckered me pretty good with this series. I thought her first book, the Spirit of Imhotep, was a "mummy" tale. You know, kid goes to Egypt, heads into a pyramid, wakes up some slumbering monster and all heck breaks lose. That was not the book at all. Nope. But I still listened to it, because she writes an interesting story. She writes from her spirit, you really feel that as you listen to the narration. Pita's semi-autobiographical story really moves you. Even I, a manly man, was touched deeply by this journey."
