Sadra and Hegel on Metaphysical Essentialism

This book aims at providing a comparative study of the accounts of the relationship between essence and existence which are provided by Sadra and Hegel respectively. The author shows how Sadra’s metaphysical existentialism can be considered as a moment within Hegel’s critique of the qualitative determination of truth in his Science of Logic.
