Through an odd assortment of 'characters', the culture of Atlantis has endured, remnants brought forward to the Modern.
What you'll learn
- Students will see that the rise of Rome had a significant impact on the remnant Atlantean culture around the Mediterranean.
- And yet, the scientist-priests would go on to continue their study and also influence cultures far removed.
- The names of the gods have changed, but a ritual landscape survived, in unlikely places.
- Today, we have scant remains still from Atlantis, but more an incredible legacy, hidden in most cases.
Requirements
- The previous three courses on Atlantis should be completed first, so this all makes sense.
Description
We've pretty well determined that Atlantis existed, and where. Recognizing incredible climactic changes throughout this narrative, we've seen how eventually Atlantean survivors came ashore in Europe, spreading out an incredibly vast culture, one with the ability to 'electro-engineer' its climate and farming. A further offshoot of Atlanteans invaded the Nile river area, setting up a vastly different culture, one with writing, advanced architecture, chemistry and electro-science. Things were going pretty well around the Mediterranean until the Santorini explosion, the resultant cooling of Northern Europe and the tremendous influx of refugees who destabilized the region.
In this final episode, we will look at what happened after the Bronze Age collapse, particularly with the rise of Rome and the subsequent cultural diffusion that fled, in all directions and over great distances, who this may have led to the pyramid cultures of China and Meso-America, and the sea-fairing cultures that then developed in far Northern Europe
Moving the clock forward, we will see how Roman Catholicism usurped and also preserved ancient traditions, relabeling them.
Time marches on and we will see that with the Age of Enlightenment, a 'counter reformation' of science, free-masonry and others will challenge the church and provide their own link to the wisdom of Atlantis and all the ages since.
We will ultimately conclude this amazing voyage, to see what remnants remain, at least visibly.
