From Rednecks to Red China

“FROM REDNECKS TO RED CHINA” is a collection of anecdotes related to the author's stay in Beijing, in 1986, as a student of Mandarin. She started writing while living in Hong Kong, a few years ago, aware that China was rapidly changing into a very different place. It is a light-hearted account of everyday life with a few pointers on Chinese culture and history, with the hope of providing the reader with a better understanding of cultural differences.
