Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk (Warbird Tech Series Volume 25)

The F-117 A has served one purpose extremely well. It has furthered the reputa­tion of Skunk Works as the builder of mysterious secret aircraft. In all fairness, it's a well deserved reputa­tion. The old Lockheed Advanced Development Company, which finally gave up and officially changed its name to Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, has developed and built at least three excellent aircraft (U-2, Blackbirds, and the F-117A) in total secrecy, all below budget and ahead of schedule. It is a truly amazing record.
