Marcel Sander (La Calva) is a German photographer. Photography is his hobby and he prefers to photograph people, but landscape s also inspire him. His main photographic inspiration comes from the incredible Russian photographers like Dan Hecho and others.
La Calva began shooting in 2010, starting out as a model. This was the first contact with photography and the passion grew. The creative using of light fascinates him. Calva works primarily with available light and loves the image post processing workflow.
He loves to give the image major intensity to give his work more strength. He often spends for several hours to edit one image.
His focus is on Nude Photography. The love of melancholy and the female body is more and more pronounced in his pictures.
Marcel is very ambitious, shy skeptic and incredibly self critical. He is almost always looking for new concepts and rarely follows the same scheme. Working for free always remain the essence of his photographic style because he believes only then he can continue to evolve and develop his style, free from the pressure of a clients requirements and directions.
