Nadja Bender is a Danish model born in 1990 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tall and lean, with an angelic face and a beauty mark similar to supermodel Cindy Crawford, she began her modeling career with Gossip Model Management when she signed her first modeling contract and soon moved to New York City. In the Big Apple, her gentle beauty attracted New York Model Management with whom she signed another contract which marked the debut of her ascension into model stardom.
In September 2011, Nadja Bender made her first walk down the runway at Alexander Wang and Rodarte in New York during Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012. Five months later in February 2012, the model hit Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013 and met huge success. Over the course of the Fashion Week month, she opened Alexander Wang, Balmain and Nina Ricci, and walked in numerous shows including Chanel, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana. Gucci named her face of their Fall/Winter 2012-2013 campaign alongside Karmen Pedaru, and Nadja Bender appeared for the first time in Vogue Paris for the June/July 2012 issue. Posing for David Sims, the model hid beneath a veil, wearing a wool broadcloth coat or an overstitched leather jacket, in the somber yet intriguing black and white series, Lignes de Forces. The magazine invited the model to pose again for the August 2012 issue dedicated to the Parisienne, where alongside Arizona Muse, Isabeli Fontana, Kati Nescher and Suvi Koponen, Nadja Bender incarnated Parisienne looks in the Paris, Mon Amour fashion shoot by Mario Sorrenti.
The same summer of 2012, Nadja was chosen to present the cruise 2013 collections for Balmain, Stella McCartney, Gucci, Burberry Prorsum and Bottega Veneta, and in September 2012, the model walked in all the top runway shows for Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013. From New York to Paris, she strutted the catwalks of Chanel, Chloé, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, Balmain, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Moschino, Versace, Gucci, Michael Kors, Alexander Wang and Etro, for whom she opened. In November 2012, Nadja Bender appeared once again in Vogue Paris for the November beauty issue, photographed by Karim Sadli, posing with Kati Nescher and Cora Emmanuel in the New Faces editorial. Two years on, the Danish model was the star of jewelry shoot Le goût de l'argent in Vogue Paris March 2014, posing for photographers Claudia & Stefan in a selection of tantalising silver jewelry, incarnating the spirit of adventure.
