She is most known for her appearances in Playboy and for her work as a bikini model. She grew up in a small town in South Dakota. Her mother worked as a school teacher and her father worked as a computer technician.

As a young child, Heather enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family. When asked about her hobbies, Heather responded, “I would rather be out fishing with dad on the lake than getting all glammed up.” Heather will always be a small-town girl at heart.

In 2009, Heather graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Spanish and is currently working towards a second degree in Electrical Engineering.
