Samantha Kate Winward (born 12 October 1985, Bolton, Greater Manchester) is an English actress, singer and model. She is best known for playing Katie Sugden in the ITV1 soap opera Emmerdale
Winward appeared in the ITV celebrity talent show Soapstar Superstar in January 2006. In March 2006, she appeared on the Orange Playlist. Here she explained that she was training to be a ballerina before being picked by her agent Ruth Young to attend the Emmerdale audition.
Winward was voted number 73 in FHM's 2006 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll.

She recently appeared on All Star Family Fortunes. Her family lost 381 - 30 to Kyran Bracken.
