This month, we've blurred the lines to bring you 'The Barely legal' issue, in which, we've driven a whole bunch of machines which are legally not allowed to be driven on public roads. Some have been heavily modified to suit specific applications such as the off-road-dedicated Jeep and Gypsy, which totally look the part. Others, such as the Civic and the Supra may resemble the standard-issue cars on the surface but are entirely different beasts under the skin. And there are yet others, competition-spec vehicles such as the Desert Storm-winning RTR 450, which were never meant for the road. Then, of course, are those such as the pair of Kawasakis (KLX 140G and KX 250F), which are designed excluding essential parts such as rear-view mirrors or tail-lamps. But the jewel in our barely legal crown is the Porsche 718 Boxster. Now, everything about this car is legal. What we ended up doing with it though, was far from it. As exciting as all the legally suspect stories were, as always, we've got our share of drives such as the Tata Tigor, new Audi A3 and Maruti Baleno RS. We've also ridden the Yamaha FZ 25, the Harley Road King and the KTM 200 and 250 Dukes. For those not satisfied with just the road or off-road options, we also took a whirl in a powerboat. All this and a lot more in this issue of TopGear India.
