11 years on and still going strong. In this Anniversary Special issue, we celebrate power, in the only way TopGear India knows how to – we drive some of the most powerful cars and bikes from not just across the country but from all corners of the world. From India exclusive drives of the new 488 GTB, Ferrari’s replacement for the 458, and Porsche’s sold-out limited edition 911 GT3 RS to getting behind the wheel of the RS7 Performance (that’s right, an RS7 with even more power) and Lamborghini’s two-wheel-drive Huracan, we went all out to take you on your very own ‘Power Trip’. We also had a high-intensity face-off between the Audi R8 and BMW i8 just to see if the future of mobility looks brighter than the current road rockstars. Of course, we couldn’t just let things be straightforward and there’s a surprise appearance in the middle of this high-octane duel. And which power issue would be complete without a nod or two at some good ol’ American muscle? So, we had the new Ford Mustang and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT come together for a romp. We also have a special exclusive piece on what goes into making a custom bike from M V Agusta – the F4Z. Apart from all the power packing, we also took the Triumph Thruxton R down to coffee country and swung by the Indian Space Research Organisations’ facility at Sriharikota in the new Audi A4. There’s also first drives of the new Hyundai Elantra and the more powerful 1.0-litre Renault Kwid. And for those of you who like a bit of controversy, we caught up with the elusive Team Principle of the Force India F1 team – Vijay Mallya, though it was strictly about his team’s chequered flag aspirations. So, it’s a huge, thrill-a-minute ride this month with TopGear’s 11th Anniversary Special issue. Enjoy.
