Both are extraordinary accounts. On the gallows at Newgate in 1868 was Fenian bomber Michael Barrett, the Irish killer behind the Clerkenwell outrage which claimed the lives of a dozen innocent people and injured many more. Teed, meanwhile, was after cash when he knocked on the door of a sub-post office in a Swansea suburb – but he ended up with more than he’d bargained for…
