Originally credited as Godfrey & Stewart, later reissues reverted to The Enid, technically making this the band's 9th Studio album. It also marked the end of the pair's long and successful partnership, and reflects the increasingly diverse musical pursuits of the two Enid founders. It was written and recorded during and after a period of working largely with other musicians on non-Enid projects. Along with the traditional Enid hallmarks it is possible to detect latin, African, Eastern and Gospel influences in the music.

Notes

REVERBERATIONS was written by Robert John Godfrey around the same time as The Seed and the Sower was coming together. It should have been on the album from the beginning, but would have made the whole project too long to fit onto a single piece of vinyl (although still too short to be a double album).
